Implementation

Where are you sharing the main course goal and outcomes with your learners?

Forward Together: Canvas - Methodist University

Where does the Overview/Introduction/Start Here module fit into the overall course map or design?

Start Module

The start module introduces my learners to the installation package they will need to be successful. Additionally, I am also introducing the format of learning that will serve as the earlier foundation to measure both their engagement and sense of time management.

How is your instructional design (Student-Centered or Teacher-Led) approach realized in the modules?

Student-Led

My goal is to create a significant learning environment where my students have choice, ownership, voice, and authentic learning opportunities. (COVA+CSLE). This is achieved by establishing early on that the result of this course is left completely up to my learners and their final application design.

While my goals are to transition my learners to the constructivism corner of the visual. My course will operate on a hybrid format with standardized assessments being aligned to the project goals and overall learning.

How does the unit/module align outcomes/goals activities and assessment?

Aligned Outcomes

At the end of each lesson, learners have mini-program to complete that will assess what they have learned in the unit thus far.

At the end of each unit, learners will complete a unit program combining the various programming techniques they learned from that respective unit.

Each program brings them a step closer to beginning development of their application design.

What is the scope or range of the instructor’s role (i.e. Presenter, Facilitator, Coach, Mentor)?

Planning for my new environment, my role be that of the adaptable leader. I have to be prepared to fill multiple hats. The hats that will probably see me in most active are that of Mentor, Change Agent, Facilitator, Coach & Impediment Remover.

Hybrid Modal

The course was created with the goal of using a Blended Learning approach to teaching. However, because it is also a transition year for my entry into a new organization, a hybrid modal will be deployed during the first year of implementation.

How are you introducing the course and yourself and how are you building the learning community?

What is the ratio or percentage of synchronous to asynchronous collaboration?

The Difference Between Synchronous And Asynchronous Learning

Goal

My goal is to operate at 75% Asynchronous Learning and 25% Synchronous Learning. However, for the implementation year, I am open to being more adaptable+.

How will you address the infrastructure, system, and support needs and issues the learner may face?
